Meeting with science stream students in their classrooms on July 24, 2015

Facilitator attended all the science stream classes for listing of students who are interested, and are eligible to participate in technology based after school JEE coaching. During those classes, he also briefed about the program in informal and interactive manner. Many students asked questions and clarified their doubt. Though there was repeated motivation by the facilitator, students of class XII non-medical students refrain from their participation in the technology based after school JEE coaching. Reasons for inability to participate in the coaching program were not known* though some students shared their dissatisfaction regarding the program. In contrast to the +2 non-medical students, almost all the students of class XI non-medical students wanted to be part of the coaching except few students who fails to meet the eligibility criteria due to low marks in their internal exams.

As the technology based coaching is mainly focused on JEE preparation, students who are currently studying PCB(Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics) shared their concern about need of preparation for common medical entrance tests like AIPMT.

*With due reason of inability of XII non-medical students to join the coaching, facilitator requested counselor of the school to collect feedback from the students regarding reasons for not joining. Among those students, only 8 students were found having aim of becoming Engineers (3 civil engineering, 2 aeronautical engineering and 3 computer engineering) and four were wishing to pursue Architecture. Rest of the students are opting for non-engineering courses and JEE preparation wasn't their plan. Detail of feedback can be found at (Future engineers feedback,  Future non-engineer's feedback).
